Deliciously creamy, easy to make tomato sauce swirled with fettuccine, Parmesan, and fresh basil.
Chop up onion and garlic. Set aside.
Heat butter and oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add garlic and onions and saute for 2 minutes. Meanwhile, prepare pasta according to package directions.
Pour both cans of tomato sauce over the garlic and onions. Add salt, pepper, and sugar to taste. Cover and let simmer over low heat for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat and pour in cream. Stir until it becomes a nice creamy, orange color.
Add in grated Parmesan to taste. Taste test seasonings. If the sauce ends up too thick, try adding some water from your boiled pasta to thin it out a bit. Add cooked pasta and mix well. Top with chopped basil.
