This bread tastes EXACTLY like an apple fritter. You’ll probably have all the ingredients already stocked in your pantry, so enjoy! If you’re making this bread during fall, use a fresh Honeycrisp apple. It makes all the difference!
Preheat oven to 350. Grease and line a loaf pan with parchment paper. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon together in a bowl. Set aside.
Beat white sugar and butter together in a bowl of an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Beat in eggs, 1 at a time, until well blended. Add in vanilla.
Combine flour and baking powder together in a bowl; stir into creamed butter mixture. Mix milk into batter until smooth.
Pour half the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Add half the apples and half the brown sugar mixture. Lightly pat the apple mixture into batter. Pour the remaining batter over apple layer; top with remaining apples and brown sugar mixture.
Lightly pat apples into batter; and swirl the brown sugar mixture through apples. Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted in the center of the loaf comes out clean, 40 to 45 minutes.
Let cool for about 20 minutes. While loaf is cooling, prepare your glaze. Mix powdered sugar together with milk, adding 1 tablespoon of milk at a time until desired glaze consistency forms. Drizzle over cooled loaf.
